…Assure women empowernment
The Imo state chapter of Atiku Angels has commenced sensitization exercise for her members in Imo.
The aim being to mobilize all categories of women in the 27 local Government Areas and 305 wards in the state towards the election of the people’s Democratic party presidential candidate, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku.
Speaking to journalist after their meeting on wednessday which was attended by well over 80 members,the state coordinator of Atiku Angels, Mrs Ogadinma Umunna said that the Imo women will fully benefit fromm the administration of Atiku Abubakar in 2019,if his elected president of Nigeria, Which include participating fully in his government appointments.
Mrs Umunna went further to say that Imo women under Atiku administration will be remembered for political offices and empowerment especially, those in the rural areas. She reassured the Imo women that they will be made relevant in all the fields of endeavour.
The state coordinator expressed joy over the choice of Chief Peter Obi as the running mate of Alhaji Atiku saying that he has made a remarkable mark in the banking sector,politics and set to reposition the country with Alhaji Atiku.Mrs Umunna said that Imo is a PDP dominated state expressing confidence that the Imo people will vote massively, for the party in order to get the state working again.
She, however, disclosed that their group requires financial support to enable them carry out their objectives in line with the election of the PDP national flag bearer.Among those who attended the meeting include Lolo Francisca Arizie, the Orlu zonal womean leader of the support group Eziada Florence Dozie,the Owerri zonal women leader,Mrs Chinyere Obi the Okigwe zonal woman leader.
